At the National Level, the Active People, Healthy Nation initiative led by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) hopes to help 27 million Americans become more physically active by 2027. Why? According to the CDC, regular physical activity can help reduce the risk of at least 20 chronic diseases and conditions and provide effective treatment for many of these conditions.
